Underage Poker Player

Most online poker players expected to be 18 or older. Many players do not precisely meet the minimum age requisites. In fact, some of the best players out there are underage players, eventually become poker greats.
However, while this is all fine and dandy, problem starts to arise when it becomes public.

There was a controversy that a player won a huge prize at poker tournament. This player discovered to be underage, he was listed at 19 but he was actually 17 years old. Many players start playing “illegally” using fake ID.

Some underage players have successful record on playing online. Some are just lucky to win good money online and maybe because more mature intelligent people surround them. However, majority of underage players are struggling with bankroll management because of limited access to money.

Poker Debate

It has been a huge debate about fighting for freedom to play poker whenever, wherever, and however the players want to play anywhere in the world.
However, I am starting to wonder how much money should really go to legalize and regulate poker. I definitely hope for a success of online gambling regulations on poker.
Not just me, many people support the attempt to get the regulations lifted and hope for more freedoms to play poker.
Looking forward to see how things progress in another few months or so.

Patterns in Poker

Why is it so difficult to make the right decisions?

Maybe you have learned the basics but still struggling to analyze poker patterns when you are in a game situation. But, do not let your opponents notice that you have forgotten your game patterns.

Some players use their experience to make decisions and some could still remember their previous game so they could apply it to their current game. Some players have notes of their game so that it is easy to remember how they solve the game situation.

It could be impossible to store in your mind the number of hands you did and hard to recall the game patterns you did. However, the basic procedure at a poker table is always the same and 52 cards are dealt with the same rhythm so it is possible to remember your poker patterns.

Poker Lifestyle

Actually, I’m guilty for the fact that I am addicted to poker. I am single, I have a great career, I have an incredible group of friends, I have money, and I almost have the worldly things in this life. It just a piece of thought that strike through my mind of how can a married man/woman manage his/her family and poker?

Let’s just face the truth that when you play poker, you will throw out big money on the game. In addition to that, a player has no assurance that he will win the game. So how could you manage that situation if you are also spending money for the needs of your family?

My piece of advice to those who are having a hard time balancing poker and family, you need discipline and a good time management. Don’t take your bad play on your partner because it won’t help the situation. It is always a good feeling to have a good relationship with your family and at the same time is to have a smooth gameplay.

Poker History

I went to a bar last night with my friends. We had a great night, and we talked about everything in our lives. Of course, the main topic of the conversation is poker. And guess what, we had all night argument on how and when the poker started? Can you believe it?

The next day, I still have the hangover about poker’s origin. Therefore, I have decided to find information on the internet about the poker’s history and here is what I have found.

- According to a popular belief, Chinese invented domino, this game became a popular and considered by some to be the precursor of poker.

- According to some specialists, the origin of the name comes from the French poque and pochen from the German.

- Another intriguing piece of speculation is that the word poker originates from the expression hocus-pocus that commonly used by magicians.

- In the modern era, poker started with the inaugural World Series of Poker in 1970 and has grown into the massive event of today.
